These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Daily Byte (the "app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Daily Byte delivers short, AI-generated informational insights on topics you choose, with optional follow-up chat and history. The app is provided for general educational and informational purposes.

2. Accounts

You sign in using Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the app.

3. Subscriptions & billing

Daily Byte offers a free tier and paid Plus and Pro subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly.
Paid plans may include a free trial. Unless cancelled, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period.
Billing is handled by Apple or Google. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Refund requests for App Store or Google Play purchases are handled by the respective store.
Prices and plan limits may change; we'll give reasonable notice of material changes.

4. Accuracy & no professional advice

We strive to make every insight accurate and anchored to verifiable facts. However, content is generated by AI and may occasionally contain errors. Insights are not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. Verify important information independently before acting on it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose or to generate harmful content.
Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.
Resell, scrape, or redistribute the content without permission.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its design, and the Daily Byte name and logo are owned by us. Insights generated for you are provided for your personal use.

7. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
